As Aurora’s office was designed to inspire, the space will also be used for other purposes that enhance the capacity building for Sierra Leoneans. Besides recurring ICT training and the Pre-Accelerator programme, additional courses will take place to boost capacity building among Sierra Leoneans, with the overarching goal to make them more employable, thus decreasing unemployment in the country. An example of such a course is a fashion design course in sustainability, which took place in January 2020. During this 2-week course, we cooperated with the University of Iceland and had Icelandic professors teach at our office in Freetown (read more about this course here).
