Financial Literacy Training!

19.05.23

The Financial Literacy training for entrepreneurs was a three-day training held from 16th to 18th of May at the Aurora Foundation’s office. The training aimed to equip young entrepreneurs with the necessary financial skills to effectively plan, manage, and oversee the finances of their start-ups. The event was made possible through funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Iceland, which aims to empower and capacitate young entrepreneurs in the region. The training was facilitated by Rosetta Wilson, who has been working with Aurora Foundation for over three years.

With a total of 21 participants, the training covered various aspects of financial literacy essential for business success. The attendees learned about different types of budgets, including how to create and manage them effectively. They were also trained in drafting financial statements, understanding and managing petty cash, and utilizing ratios to calculate business performance. The training provided the participants with valuable insights and practical knowledge, enabling them to make informed financial decisions and enhance their overall financial management skills within their start-ups. All those who participated in the training were awarded a certificate from the Aurora Impact team.

We kindly thank Rosetta Wilson for her time and energy and look forward to the next one!
