Sweet Salone receives Reykjavik Grapevine Design Award

10.03.18

The Reykjavik Grapevine Magazine’s annual Design Awards seek to recognize and reward the best of design in Iceland. It is therefore with great pride that we announce that our project Sweet Salone received this year’s Reykjavík Grapevine Design Award prize Product Of The Year – Looking Forward To.

Our successful Sweet Salone project revolves around the ongoing collaboration between the very talented designers from As We Grow, Kron by Kronkron and 1+1+1, with a group of inspiring craftspeople in Sierra Leone. The award was proudly received at Grapevine’s award ceremony, by Guðrún Ragna Sigurjónsdóttir from As We Grow, the Sweet Salone Project Manager Sigríður Sigurjónsdóttir, and Regína Bjarnadóttir, the Director of Aurora.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the amazing team of designers and craftspeople that have contributed to the Sweet Salone project with their beautiful collaboration, commitment, and hard work, and to Grapevine Magazine for the very encouraging acknowledgment of rewarding our project with this prize. We can only look forward to the future!
