Sweet Salone project at full speed!

18.02.19

Another week of amazing creativity as our Sweet Salone project continues in full swing. Collaborators in our Sweet Salone project, the amazing designers in As We Grow (AWG) visited Sierra Leone and continued their work here with various counterparts over the last week. Fabrics for new dresses were bought and new accessories for children were designed and developed.

It was extremely interesting to see how much the collaboration between the Icelandic designers and the Sierra Leonean craftspeople has developed since it started 18 months ago. The skills of the craftspeople to follow drawings and prototypes has taken a huge step forward, communication has become so smooth and most importantly is the understanding of how much quality in the production matters!
