Successful Completion of the Aurora Foundation’s Beginner ICT Course for GESL

12.01.24

We are thrilled to share the success of our recent 2-week Beginner ICT course, which concluded on January 12th at the Aurora Office Training Center. The course boasted a remarkable 100% attendance and completion rate, marking a significant achievement for both the participants and our dedicated team.

A special mention goes out to the enthusiastic young girls from Girl Empowerment Sierra Leone (GESL) who embarked on a transformative journey with us from January 2nd to the 12th. It was an inspiring week filled with exploration and learning as they delved into the essentials of ICT for beginners.

The comprehensive training program covered fundamental topics, including an introduction to computer hardware and software, MS Word proficiency, typing skills, and navigation techniques. Our aim was to equip these eager learners with the essential skills needed for today’s digital landscape.

We are delighted to announce that out of the 12 graduates, an impressive 4 students achieved a perfect 100% percentile on their final test. These remarkable individuals not only completed the course but excelled in their understanding of the material.

To celebrate their accomplishments, we have included a photo of the four outstanding students who demonstrated exceptional dedication and aptitude throughout the training. Their success is a testament to the effectiveness of our program and the potential that lies within Sierra Leone’s youth.

At the Aurora Foundation, we remain committed to empowering young minds and fostering a culture of learning. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the participants, GESL, and all those who support our mission to make a positive impact on the lives of Sierra Leone’s youth.

Stay tuned for more updates on our initiatives and thank you for being a part of the Aurora Foundation family.
