Staff Retreat with the Lettie Stuart Pottery!

24.10.23

In a staff retreat gathering on Monday, October 23rd, the Lettie Stuart Pottery staff and representatives from the two dedicated organizations that have been instrumental in its journey since gathered. The occasion took place at the serene Eden Park, bringing together the Lettie Stuart Pottery staff, Aurora Foundation, and SLADEA (Sierra Leone Agribusiness Development Association).

Representing Aurora Foundation, Regina Bjarnadóttir, the CEO, and Claire Kpaka, the Project Manager of Sweet Salone, graced the event. On the other hand, SLADEA was represented by Wuyata Menjoh and Maryama Cole, all of whom serve on the Lettie Stuart Pottery management board.

The primary aim of this momentous day was to set ambitious goals and meticulously review production processes. Efficiency was the keyword as they emphasized the profound significance of peer-to-peer learning for achieving collective success. This collaborative spirit infused the gathering with enthusiasm and energy, setting a promising tone for the future.

Beyond its official agenda, the day yielded an unexpected yet highly appreciated outcome – fostering a deeper sense of camaraderie among the attendees. Outside the confines of the pottery, these individuals had the opportunity to know each other on a more personal level. It was a testament to the power of shared objectives and the unity forged in pursuit of a common mission.

As the sun set on this successful day of collaboration and strategizing, the collective outlook was one of optimism and anticipation. The seeds of progress had been sown, and the Lettie Stuart Pottery team, together with Aurora Foundation and SLADEA, eagerly looked forward to reaping the rewards of their joint efforts. With the success of this gathering as a foundation, they were already brimming with excitement for the next chapter in their shared journey.
