Startup Accelerator Program: Turning Ideas Into Action at Our 4th In-Class Session

23.06.25

At Aurora Foundation, we believe every great business starts with a clear vision and a solid plan. On June 17, 2025, our vibrant community of entrepreneurs gathered for the 4th in-class session of our Startup Accelerator Program at Aurora House and the energy was truly inspiring. With 13 out of 20 entrepreneurs in attendance, the day was packed with learning, lively discussions, and meaningful progress. The session focused on Business Model Canvas (BMC) development and crafting clear Mission and Vision statements, participants rolled up their sleeves for an interactive and purposeful day of learning.

The Business Model Canvas is a simple, one-page tool that helps break down big business ideas into smaller, manageable pieces. With pens in hand, ideas on paper, and hearts full of ambition, participants explored the Business Model Canvas a one-page visual tool that helps break down a business idea into clear, strategic building blocks. From value propositions to customer segments, and from revenue streams to key partners, the BMC helped each entrepreneur gain a deeper understanding of how all the parts of their business fit together.

What made the session especially exciting was the hands-on approach. Each entrepreneur worked individually to build their own BMC then shared insights and ideas with each other. The room was full of great conversations and helpful feedback, showing just how powerful it is when passionate people come together to learn and grow.

The session also offered a powerful moment of reflection and purpose as participants were guided to craft their Mission and Vision Statements the heart and soul of any business. These statements serve as a compass, helping entrepreneurs define what they stand for today and where they hope to go tomorrow.

One thing that stood out during this session was the high level of engagement. Discussions were lively, questions flowed naturally, and peer-to-peer learning was in full swing. Every participant contributed, and the energy in the room showed just how committed everyone is to building meaningful, sustainable businesses.

By the end of the session, our participants walked away with a completed draft of their Business Model Canvas giving them a clear, visual roadmap for their business. Personalised mission and vision statements that will guide decision-making, communication, and branding. Peer support, fresh perspectives.
