Aurora Foundation is pleased to share the story of Abigail Conteh, who has recently started a new role as Junior Communications Officer. Her journey from intern to staff member reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting young professionals and building long-term capacity within our organization.
Abigail first joined Aurora Foundation as an intern, where she quickly impressed the team with her focus, reliability, and strong communication skills. She contributed meaningfully across a variety of tasks, supporting project coordination and offering valuable insights into our daily operations.
Following her internship, Abigail was offered a position as Junior Programme Assistant. In that role, she gained hands-on experience working closely with the programme team, deepening her understanding of the Foundation’s mission and work. Her ability to take initiative and work collaboratively was evident, and she became a dependable part of our growing team.
Just one week ago, Abigail took on her newest challenge as Junior Communications Officer. While she is still settling into the role, she has already begun contributing to the Foundation’s outreach and communications efforts. As she gains experience in this new position, Abigail will help shape how Aurora shares its story, connects with partners, and highlights the impact of its work in Sierra Leone and beyond.
We look forward to seeing how Abigail grows in this new role and are excited to support her development as a communicator and team member. Her journey so far is a strong example of what can be achieved when talent is nurtured and given room to flourish.
Please join us in welcoming Abigail to her new role and celebrating this important milestone in her professional journey with Aurora Foundation.
