Last month, the Aurora Foundation had the privilege of partnering with Fashion Industry Insiders (FII) for an inspiring two-day training event in Freetown, culminating in a spectacular fashion show. Hosted at the Country Lodge, the event brought together over 50 young, passionate fashion enthusiasts eager to learn and grow within the industry. The theme for FII 2024, “Fashion Our Future,” was a celebration of both creativity and professional development.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in a series of hands-on workshops and dynamic seminars, diving into essential topics that are pivotal to success in the fashion world. Experts shared their knowledge on everything from brand development and product design to customer service strategies and fashion modeling. The training sessions were designed to provide valuable insights into building a sustainable fashion brand, perfecting design techniques, and mastering sales and marketing strategies. The final day culminated in a high-energy fashion show where participants showcased their skills, and the crowd was treated to a captivating display of emerging talent.
