Exploring Operations and HR: Eighth Session of Startup Accelerator

10.10.25

On September 30, the eighth in-class session of Aurora’s Startup Accelerator program was held at Aurora House, facilitated by Ajara Marie Mboma, Founder and Strategist of Women Mean Business. The focus of the session was operations management and human resources—critical components for building strong and sustainable ventures.

Participants explored the foundations of business structure, gaining clarity on how to effectively organize and manage their operations. The session balanced practical insights with interactive learning, giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to connect theory directly to their own business realities.

Through Q&A discussions and individual exercises, startups were able to reflect deeply on their internal processes and create their own business organograms. This hands-on approach not only helped participants visualize their structures but also guided them to think strategically about roles, responsibilities, and growth within their enterprises.

The session highlighted the importance of strong operational frameworks and effective people management as key drivers of business success.

By the end, participants left better equipped to strengthen their organizational foundations, laying the groundwork for long-term growth and impact.
