Aurora Foundation’s Sweet Salone Project Gets Grant from Iceland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs

25.06.24

We are thrilled to announce that Sweet Salone has acquired a significant grant from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland. This funding will support our key initiative, Sweet Salone, dedicated to empowering artisans in Sierra Leone.

Sweet Salone connects international designers with local artisans to produce handmade sustainable items for both local and export markets. This initiative supports local craftsmanship and expands artisans’ reach to a global audience. The grant will enable us to broaden our impact, benefiting more artisans and contributing to sustainable economic development in Sierra Leone.

Our work at Sweet Salone aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on promoting economic growth and fostering creativity within communities. This grant underscores our commitment to these goals and will help us continue our efforts in empowering artisans and driving positive change.
Join us in celebrating this achievement and supporting our ongoing efforts to make a lasting difference in Sierra Leone. For more information about Sweet Salone and how you can get involved, please visit our website, www.aurorafoundation.is.
