Aurora Foundation Receives “Going the Extra Mile” Award from ILO Opportunity Salone

07.04.26

Aurora Foundation is proud to share that we have received the “Going the Extra Mile” Award from the International Labour Organization under the Opportunity Salone initiative. This recognition is awarded to partners who demonstrate commitment far beyond what is required, and it reflects the dedication we bring to our work and the communities we serve.

The award was presented as part of the Movers and Shakers Awards, where thirty-two outstanding organizations and individuals were celebrated across six categories, including Luminary, Catalyst, Entrepreneurs Ally, Going the Extra Mile, Trailblazers, and Market Systems Awards. These recognitions highlight the leadership, innovation, and collective effort driving inclusive and sustainable market systems in Sierra Leone

For Aurora Foundation, this award is a meaningful reminder that impact goes beyond delivering on expectations. It is about showing up consistently, building strong partnerships, and staying committed to creating real opportunities that improve lives.

We extend our sincere thanks to the International Labour Organization, ILO Abuja for this recognition and for their continued support in advancing inclusive growth in Sierra Leone. This milestone encourages us to keep pushing forward and to continue going the extra mile in everything we do.
