Aurora Foundation Celebrates Staff Scholars in Iceland

14.01.26

We are proud to announce that Fatmata Barrie and Hasatu Bah have begun an exciting journey at the University of Iceland as part of the GRO GEST postgraduate program, sponsored by the Government of Iceland. Over the next five months, they will explore gender equality in depth, gaining tools and knowledge to design and implement projects with a strong gender-sensitive focus.

Both Fatmata and Hasatu are bringing their Aurora Foundation experience into their studies, creating research projects that connect directly with the work we do on the ground. Their commitment to learning, growing, and applying new insights reflects the heart of our mission.

Their participation in this program reflects their dedication to professional growth and to advancing gender equality through practical action. It is a valuable opportunity for them to deepen their skills and bring new insights to the work we do.

We are proud to see them take this step and look forward to the insights, ideas, and experiences they will bring back to Aurora Foundation.
