Aurora Foundation Annual Family Beach Day 2025 – A Celebration of Fun, Team Spirit, and Connection

21.10.25

On October 11th, Aurora Foundation hosted its much-anticipated Annual Family Beach Day at the beautiful Yankai Beach in Sierra Leone. This vibrant gathering brought together the Aurora team and their families for a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and shared memories.

The event kicked off with team members being split into four groups, each choosing a unique name that reflected their spirit and energy. The teams proudly became Team Elephant, Team Brama, Team Sea Wave, and Team Black Panther. The day’s activities were designed to encourage teamwork, creativity, and good-natured rivalry. The first challenge, the Counting Game, saw everyone participating in a fun elimination round where anyone who called the number 13 was out of the game. Laughter and light teasing filled the air as the countdown continued.

Next up was Kubb, a game of strategy and precision, where teams took turns throwing wooden sticks to knock down blocks arranged in the opposing team’s half. The competitive spirit shone through as players carefully aimed their throws to secure victory for their teams. The energy stayed high with the Limbo Game, where participants showcased their flexibility and balance, bending as low as they could to glide under the bar without touching it. Cheers erupted with every daring attempt and graceful pass.

Creativity took flight in the Paper Airplane Challenge, as teams designed and flew their very own paper planes, aiming to see whose creation could soar the farthest. It was a lighthearted yet exciting game that brought out everyone’s inner child. Finally, the day wrapped up with a Blindfold Basket Challenge, where participants, blindfolded, had to fill a basket guided only by their teammates’ instructions. It was a hilarious and heartwarming display of trust, communication, and teamwork.

At the end of the day, Team Brama emerged victorious—but the real win was the joy and connection shared among everyone present. The Beach Day wasn’t just about games; it was about bonding, laughter, and creating lasting memories together. This memorable day served as a beautiful reminder of the power of team spirit, collaboration, and community—both inside and outside the workplace. We look forward to many more moments like this as we continue to build a stronger, more connected Aurora family.
