The hospital beds donation continues

22.03.21

On behalf of Akureyri Hospital, Aurora Foundation recently donated six hospital beds to the UBC Mattru Hospital in Mattru Jong Sierra Leone. Mattru Jong is the Capital of Bonthe district, located in the southern part of Sierra Leone, and the hospital is the main hospital in the district. The hospital was built in the 1950s but was completely destroyed by the RUF rebels during the civil war. In 2001, the hospital was built up again and now serves the people in the community as their primary hospital.

Mr Abdul Mustapha, the Administrator of the hospital, received the beds on behalf of the hospital. He expressed their sincere gratitude, as it is hard to get quality supplies for the hospital in Sierra Leone. He expressed his greetings and thanks to Aurora Foundation, The Akureyri Hospital, and SAMSKIP for the generous contribution.
