At Aurora Foundation, we are proud to support and celebrate Sierra Leonean talent that pushes the boundaries of creativity and resourcefulness. One such remarkable artist is Morrison Jusu, a gifted collage artist whose work captures the essence of innovation and culture.
In a setting where access to traditional art materials can be limited, Morrison turned challenge into opportunity—creating powerful visual stories using discarded fabric and textile scraps found in the streets and markets of Freetown. His approach is not only environmentally conscious but deeply artistic, transforming what is often considered waste into stunning works of art.
One of his earliest commissioned pieces—a map of Sierra Leone crafted from an array of local fabrics—continues to draw admiration at our office. It is a vibrant, textured celebration of Sierra Leone’s diversity and spirit.
Earlier this year, as we moved into our new and larger office space, we were delighted to commission another original piece from Morrison. His art now adorns our walls, reflecting the beauty of locally inspired expression and reminding us daily of the talent that surrounds us.
