Raihanna Jalloh is a final-year student at Central University and the passionate founder of TrashGo, a tech-driven platform dedicated to waste management and recycling. Born and raised in Sierra Leone, Raihanna has always been deeply committed to environmental sustainability, particularly in the areas of cleanliness and finding ways to make it more sustainable for the future.
Her journey with Aurora Foundation began when she joined one of our training programs on Microsoft Office tools. After completing the course, she became confident in using the tools and worked on her ICT skills, after some time she secured a role as a software developer at Bytt Limited (One of the firms we work closely with for ICT trainings and support), all while continuing her studies. Her enthusiasm and growth didn’t go unnoticed; she later became one of the facilitators for Aurora-sessions, including ICT trainings and inspirational talks.
Being around Aurora Foundation opened her eyes to the world of entrepreneurship. Inspired and motivated, Raihanna decided to turn her environmental passion into a business. That’s how TrashGo was born in 2024. TrashGo is already making waves. It’s a tech-focused platform aiming to improve how waste is collected, boost recycling efforts, reduce pollution, and ultimately connect communities for cleaner, greener cities. Since joining our Startup Accelerator Program, Raihanna has transformed her idea from a simple concept into a venture with limitless potential. She has completed several key trainings from business model canvas development to finance management and goal setting. These sessions have helped her define her vision and start laying the foundation for what’s next.
One of TrashGo’s early wins includes building a working prototype, refining the business model, These achievements are helping to shape a solution that is both innovative and impactful for Sierra Leone and beyond.
Raihanna’s message to fellow entrepreneurs is simple but powerful: “Be resilient. Be disciplined. Set goals. Take risks. And above all, keep going especially when it gets tough.” We’re proud to support Raihanna and look forward to seeing TrashGo grow and thrive. Her story is a true reflection of what can happen when passion meets opportunity.
