As part of the ILO Opportunity Salone Program, we are excited to share the highlights of a transformative two-day Finance and Marketing Training held at the Aurora Houseon the 12th and 13th of February. This event brought together 21 passionate participants from 8 SMEs in the program for an immersive learning experience designed to equip them with the tools to thrive in today’s competitive business landscape.

The first day, facilitated by Imran Kamara from Built Limited, focused on financial literacy. Participants delved into essential topics such as budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning. Through interactive discussions and group exercises, the session emphasized practical strategies to strengthen financial health and sustainability. Imran’s expertise and engaging facilitation style ensured that every participant left with actionable insights to apply to their businesses.

Day two shifted gears to marketing, where attendees explored innovative ways to build brand visibility, engage customers, and leverage digital platforms. The collaborative exercises sparked lively discussions, allowing participants to share their unique challenges and learn from one another’s experiences. The energy in the room was palpable as ideas flowed freely, fostering a sense of community and shared growth.

This training is a testament to Aurora Foundation’s commitment to empowering SMEs and driving economic development in West Africa. We are grateful to the ILO Opportunity Salone Program for their partnership and to Built Limited for their invaluable contribution.

To our participants, your enthusiasm and dedication inspire us. We look forward to seeing how you apply these lessons to scale your businesses and create lasting impact. Stay tuned for more opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with the Aurora community!
