11.11.25

The Aurora Foundation is pleased to share the successful completion of a two-day Entrepreneurship Development Training held on November 4th and 5th, 2025, in Pejehun District. This important training was delivered in collaboration with Wanasala Tho Kolio Ltd, one of the thriving businesses in our Accelerator Programme

The session brought together 50 participants, including women, youth, and persons with disabilities of which 38 completed the full training. Participants entered the program eager to refine their business ideas, understand market needs, and gain the practical skills required to launch and sustain successful ventures.

Over the two days, participants engaged deeply with key concepts such as the foundations of entrepreneurship, the difference between an entrepreneur and a businessman, and what it takes to build an entrepreneurial mindset. Through discussions on problem identification, solution development, and business model creation, participants explored how to refine ideas that address real community needs.

The training also focused on equipping participants with practical tools essential for starting and managing a business:

  • Marketing and customer engagement
  • Steps involved in launching a business
  • Business registration processes
  • How to choose an appropriate business name
  • Basic financial management and record-keeping

These sessions helped participants understand their customers, explore market opportunities, and build confidence in making informed business decisions

Participants engaged in a range of interactive activities—including group discussions, hands-on exercises, role-plays, business idea development tasks, and Q&A sessions with facilitators all designed to deepen their understanding and promote collaboration throughout the training.

The enthusiasm, participation, and dedication shown throughout the two days reflect the strong entrepreneurial spirit within Pejehun District

Aurora Foundation remains committed to supporting these emerging business leaders as they continue their journey toward building resilient, innovative, and sustainable enterprises.

Together, we’re building a brighter, more prosperous future for the community.
