Aurora Foundation Sponsors Girls in ICT Day Symposium in Waterloo

04.05.26

In celebration of Girls in ICT Day, the Girls in STEM Initiative, with sponsorship from Aurora Foundation, hosted a one-day symposium in the Waterloo community, bringing together students from three different colleges for an engaging and inspiring experience.

The session introduced participants to practical uses of artificial intelligence, exploring how AI tools can support learning, enhance business ideas, and solve real-world problems. Through interactive discussions and hands-on engagement, the girls were encouraged to think beyond the classroom and see themselves as future leaders in technology.

The symposium marks an important step, with plans already underway to continue with more AI and digital skills training sessions, ensuring that these young girls are not only inspired, but also equipped to thrive in the digital world.

Aurora Foundation was proud to sponsor this initiative, contributing to a shared effort to create a space where young girls could learn, connect, and begin to see new possibilities in technology.
