Aurora Foundation Receives Impact Partner Award of Appreciation from Girls in STEM Initiative Sierra Leone

08.01.26

On 8 January 2026, Aurora Foundation was honoured to receive the Impact Partner Award of Appreciation from Girls in STEM Initiative Sierra Leone, in recognition of our outstanding partnership and continued commitment to supporting girls in STEM.

This award reflects a journey built on shared values and sustained collaboration. Over the years, Aurora Foundation has proudly supported Girls in STEM Initiative Sierra Leone by sponsoring their seminars and creating spaces where girls can learn, connect, and confidently explore opportunities in STEM. Supporting initiatives that empower young women to grow, lead, and innovate has always been central to our mission, and this recognition reaffirms why that work matters.

The award was presented by Christiana Bangura, Founder of Girls in STEM Initiative Sierra Leone, who was part of Cohort 5 of the Aurora Foundation Startup Accelerator Programme in 2023. We receive this award with gratitude and renewed commitment. It serves as a powerful reminder that when we invest in young women, support local leadership, and stand behind bold ideas, real impact follows.

Aurora Foundation remains committed to championing initiatives that open doors, amplify voices, and create lasting opportunities for girls and women across Sierra Leone and beyond. We look forward to continuing this partnership and deepening our collective impact in the years ahead.
