Aurora Foundation Annual Staff Retreat: Reflecting, Connecting, and Recharging Together

13.01.26

On 12 January 2026, the Aurora Foundation team gathered at Aurora House for our Annual Staff Retreat, a refreshing and meaningful day dedicated to reflection, connection, and renewed energy as we step into the year ahead. The retreat provided us with an opportunity to pause and look back on the past year: to celebrate our successes, openly discuss our challenges, and identify areas where we can continue to improve. As a team, we engaged in thoughtful discussions and deep reviews of each of our programmes, examining what worked well and where adjustments are needed to strengthen our impact.

One of the highlights of the day was the series of five-minute staff presentations. Each team member shared on a different topic, bringing forward unique experiences, cultural perspectives, and personal insights. The presentations were engaging, creative, and inspiring, sparking curiosity, laughter, and meaningful reflection across the room. The day was also filled with reflection games, fun moments, and shared laughter that strengthened our bonds as a team and reinforced the importance of connection and collaboration. The energy throughout the retreat was uplifting, and we all left with a renewed sense of purpose, stronger relationships, and enthusiasm for the year ahead. The retreat reaffirmed the power of teamwork and the value of creating intentional moments to pause, reflect, and reconnect.

As we embark on another year of work, we are excited about the potential ahead. We know that the lessons we’ve learned will guide us as we continue to push boundaries, support one another, and achieve our collective mission. We look forward to another year of growth, collaboration, and impact.
