The Applied Statistics for Business & Marketing Research training took place over two-week period (24th of April – 5th of May) in collaboration with Bifrost University in Reykjavik, Iceland. The training, which took place at Aurora’s office in Sierra Leone, aimed to provide entrepreneurs and business owners with the necessary skills to conduct research and perform basic and advanced statistical analysis using Excel. Bjarki Gronfeldt, a professor at Bilfrost University in Reykjavik, Iceland, facilitated the training.

The training focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and techniques to conduct business and marketing research effectively. The participants learned both basic and advanced statistical analysis methods using Excel. The training also included instruction on designing online surveys, as well as conducting research projects during the course. At the end of the training, all participants were asked to give a presentation about the research they conducted. This allowed them to showcase their findings and demonstrate the practical application of the skills they acquired during the training. A total of 16 participants attended the Applied Statistics for Business & Marketing Research training. The participants comprised entrepreneurs and business owners who were interested in enhancing their research skills and gaining insights into statistical analysis techniques. The training aimed to empower participants to conduct meaningful research, make informed business decisions, and apply statistical analysis effectively in their respective fields.

We thank Bjarki Gronfeldt dearly for his dedication and knowledge and look forward to follow the student’s journeys.
